聯華電子宣佈加入SEMATECH聯盟

雙方的合作關係將能提昇半導體技術研發的速度

聯華電子與半導體製造技術產業聯盟SEMATECH於今日(28日)共同宣佈，聯華電子將加入SEMATECH。這項合作關係將專注在12吋晶圓上先期技術的研究發展，其中包括22奈米及以下世代技術的研發。

SEMATECH總裁及執行長Michael Polcari博士表示，“我僅代表聯盟的其他成員熱烈歡迎聯華電子加入SEMATECH。聯華電子身為全球12吋晶圓專工服務的領導者，我們也期待他們帶入晶圓專工技術面的獨到見解與貢獻。在將創新研發的技術加速落實為製造解決方案上，聯華電子是極為重要的一個夥伴。”

SEMATECH在紐約州阿爾巴尼（Albany）與德州奧斯丁（Austin）的先進技術及製造計劃都有極佳的進展，並且在世界各地都與許多供應商、大學及研究機構共同合作，此等深厚之業界協力關係自然促成了這次與聯華電子的結盟合夥。 除了大規模的12吋晶圓廠生產90奈米與65奈米晶圓專工產品之外，聯華電子的45奈米／40奈米製程正在進行驗證，而32奈米／28奈米製程也有很好的進展。
